I am sooo excited for this time of year. Farmer markets are over and now it's time to look towards my favorite time of year.
I love the excitement in my friends and families eyes when I have given them something that they really love. Now that I make jewelry, I get to enjoy that same look from total strangers when they find a piece that they truly love.
I hope you will take a few minutes and look over my slide show. I hope you find something that interests you.
I know money is tight, so I'm offering a GREATER INSENTIVE for November and December to anyone who would like to host a party for me. The hostess gets a free pendant and, for the nest 2 months, gets 10% OF SALES IN FREE JEWELRY!!
Contact me fast if your interested. My days and evenings are filling fast!

10 best things about Peach Days
#10 Not giving a deal to a man that was rude and then giving a discount to someone else (on the same necklace) while rude man watches.
#9 Peach Cobbler.
#8 Taking home free peaches.
#7 Complements from business women, biker guys, stone feelers, jewelry makers, and everyone else.
#6 Having a total stranger ask me why I didn't call her to share my booth with her. I told her "because I didn't have her phone number --- or know her name." She gave me her info for next year. I love people with a sense of humor
#5 Finding a new "Sister From Anotha Motha".
#4 Visits from my family and friends. Thanks for driving all that way to support me.
#3 A child's humour. (A girl and grandma came into my booth. I soon found out that the girl was looking for a gift for her mom who was coming back home today. She didn't have much money so I told her that she could pick out a stone
and I would put it on a necklace for you for $1. (she insisted that she had
to pay for it or it would not be a gift from her.)
She was having a hard time choosing. It had to be perfect. Finally the
grandma picked up a black and white stone and said "Your mom is kind of
a black and white girl". That's when the girl corrected her and said, "No
grandma, she's Korean".
#2 Being reminded how blessed I am. I met so many people that had lost their job.
They wanted to buy things so badly but had to be very careful with every penny.
#1 Spending time with John.
He defiantly learned alot about my hobby. He now knows the name of 2 stones. tourmaline and spider vein agate. (impressive) He also spent a lot of time learning from other vender's and listing to me. He really found out how mach I love stones, jewelry and people. He came up with some great ideas for me. He's going to get me a new tent and build me a set-up that will "showcase my jewelry" better and make it easier for me. He also thinks that he should help me more often because he thinks it would be great for me to set up a table in front and make jewelry. People were always asking me about the stones and how I did things. By letting people learn more about stones and the things I do, I will increase their interest in me and my work.
I love my husband.

connecting through art
you rarely know how your actions effect others. how what you say stregthens those around you. Last night, at the farmers market, i had two different people Come up to me and give me a little thank you gift because of something i did or said to them. in both cases we talked about art and how it effects us. an artist across the field brought me a stone that he had picked up on a hike in nevada, and he shared with me the adventure of his hike. the other thank you was from a father of an 8 yr old girl that i befriended last week. she & i talked about art and drawing. i gave her one of my picasso jasper stones on a necklace. the joy in her face was priceless. the dad thanked me and gave me some fresh honey from his hives. we talked for a long time about the beauty of nature. THIS IS WHY I LOVE ART!!!

Providence Art in the Park
Yesterday I met alot of wonderful people in Providence. Vons Park is a small, hiden park in Providence. It would be the perfect back yard. Tucked in the trees, with a creek running through it. It was beautiful. And the artwork, it was amazing. I love seeing the art work of different people, different ages, different out look, and yet all wonderful. I was blown away by the girl next to me. She did oil portraits right there as you waited. To watch her add color quickly to canvas and turn splotches into a child. I would love her ability. The say that artist's are starving, and that may be true, but they are doing what the enjoy and it shows.

peace from the earth
I had a good thursday at the Farmers Market last week. Sold some, Meet a few new people, and for a first time, felt no stress at a boutique. I have a lot going on this summer and would normally be buzzed with stress, and yet, when I work with my jewlery, I feel peace. Maybe there is something to be said about semi-precious stones.

ehow
I love ehow. I just type in key words like bead wiring or bead weaving and wala articles and videos on how to do things. That's how I've learned basicly everything for my jewlery. I get the basic idea and run with it in my direction.

Treasure Bead
Today I said goodbye to a friend and her shop. The Treasure Bead closes tomorrow and Vicky is retiring. Although I have only known her for a short time and only in her store, I will miss the friendship, smile and positive attitude. (and the unique beads)
Logan art festival
I spent the day with Barbara at Logans art festival. We have such a great time together. I got a lot of ideas for booth set up and displays. But best of all, I met a new friend. That's what I love, it's not the money or keeping busy, it's finding people that have the same spark you do. She even bought 2 of my necklaces even though I wasn't there to sale and she was. I HOPE Joy loves them and I HOPE they live up to her expectations
a new adventure
once again I have transformed into a different form. using different materials, different skills, and yet still using the love of beauty and color to make me happy.
